Americas Horror writer recovering after accident
Best-Selling U.S. Horror author Stephen King was alert and in good spirits after the operation were injured when a rented vehicle while walking along a road.
King of 14 meters was thrown when he was taken Saturday by a Dodge motorhome in rural Lovell, west of Portland, Maine, where he owns a vacation home.
The 51 years remains in a serious but stable, and other facets of the operation this week, said Chuck Gill, a spokesman for the medium-Maine Medical Center.
His wife Tabitha, his children and other relatives were at his side as he was operating on Sunday.
“He was alert and it is quite a good mood,” said Gill.
King suffered collapsed lung and multiple fractures of the hip and right leg. He was also treated during the operation for a scalp wound.
